These are just a few of the headlines touting the billions going to fund the abortion industry with the big question: Where is it all going?
This past week I had a chance to see behind the proverbial curtain to discover the answer to this question. I thought I had seen it all, but even I was shocked…
Through a friend, I was connected to a mom who was 26 weeks pregnant; we’ll call her Missy. She had a late-term abortion scheduled in Washington DC in just a few days — COMPLETELY paid for by the abortion industry. That’s a $9,000 abortion.
Missy is a single mom with two other children, living paycheck to paycheck, and incredibly exhausted and overwhelmed. I reached out to Missy to see how we could help, assuring her that we would walk with her through this crisis and help cover her basic needs to get on her feet. Filled with new hope, she canceled her abortion appointment.
But meanwhile, she texted me to share that the abortion fund and clinic would NOT stop calling and messaging her to reschedule. They were working overtime, telling her that the pro-lifers are lying to her about support and that she will struggle for the rest of her life if she doesn’t have the abortion.
Thankfully, I’ve was able to reassure her of our love and support — and she finally blocked the abortion group’s number!
Friends, this is what our teams are facing, day in and day out on the sidewalk. The abortion industry is not only preying on the fears and anxieties of vulnerable women — they are also spreading lies about the love and support we know is available to moms and their babies.
Our Advocates stand ready with truth and love to push back against the lies. But let me be frank — we cannot do it alone. Only with your help can we keep our sidewalk teams trained, equipped, and supported to stand strong against Big Abortion.
