Sidewalk Advocates for Life has now reached the incredible milestone of over 24,000 lives saved! To be exact: 24,168 babies have been saved from abortion because our courageous Advocates said “yes” to standing in the gap for women and families in crisis. And that’s not all – we are also celebrating the closure of 2 more Planned Parenthoods where Sidewalk Advocates were present.
50 Years of Killing Ends!

Plus, just yesterday, we received the amazing news that the late-term abortion facility that had operated for 50 years in the abortion-destination state of Colorado is permanently closed!
I had the opportunity to do outreach outside this facility with our Colorado Regional Programs Manager, Briana. While there, the Boulder community shared that sunlight rarely touches the sidewalk … but amidst the chill, we felt the warmth of hope radiating from our presence.
And now two years later, we are celebrating the fruits of those prayers and outreach as the doors of this wound on the community are finally and forever closing! (Read more about our powerful, if not providential visit to the Boulder facility here.)
But Abortions Still Rising
While there is much to rejoice about, we are deeply saddened that Guttmacher has recently released its abortion estimate for 2024 – 1,038,090 – over 4,000 more than last year and a majority of which were chemical abortions. It is a sobering reminder that our work is nowhere near done.
The increase of abortions, in the wake of a seemingly huge victory in the reversal of Roe, is disheartening. But as I reflect on the information (and misinformation) released by the abortion industry, coupled with the experiences of our Advocates and the stories of the moms we serve — a truth is emerging. We are facing an emboldened enemy with well-developed abortion-funding systems that will stop at nothing to cash in on abortion and keep its claws in our country.
A prime example of these tactics is the story of the Texas mom who was being harangued to kill her child even after she canceled her abortion appointment. I have since learned that the abortion facility and the fund supporting her out-of-state abortion travel harassed her for two weeks — offering her not only a free abortion, but also travel and food expenses, extra “mental health” days while traveling, for a total cost over $20,000 to abort her child up to the point of birth. Imagine the pressure cooker this poor mother was subject to when she is currently caring for her two other children with no financial security.
I am convinced this is the main reason why the abortion numbers have slightly increased in this new era.
Pushing Back Against the Tide

But, friends, God’s generous love will not be outdone — especially when His people say “yes.” Our local community stepped up to support this mom not just materially, but emotionally and spiritually as well.
This past weekend, we held a baby shower for her, where she met a family of women and men who were willing to walk with her in this journey, and support her “yes” to LIFE!
We at Sidewalk Advocates for Life will continue to step into the gap for these women, helping them stand against the pressure tactics of big abortion. If you feel called to stand with us, here are three ways you can say “Yes” right now:
- Join our virtual Prayer Team and receive biweekly prayer requests on behalf of our Sidewalk Advocates and those they serve.
- Donate a box of diapers to the nation’s largest diaper drive to be unveiled at the Rally to Defund Planned Parenthood on Capitol Hill.
- Join us for Celebrate Life Weekend — for the conference, gala, and rally — as together we work to restore equal protection for all life, born and preborn.
Thank you for partnering with us in our shared mission to help moms, save lives, and end abortion!
