IT’S. GONE.

The Houston, Texas Planned Parenthood mega-facility that was the largest abortion facility in the Western Hemisphere prior to the overturning of Roe (and then transitioned to America’s largest abortion-referral facility) has closed. Last week, this place of death and despair shuttered its doors FOREVER.
I don’t even know how to express my emotions. I stood outside this facility so many times praying and reaching out to mothers in crisis. And it was overwhelming … just thinking about how the building’s third floor could seat up to 60 women at once for abortions.
This 78,000-square-foot behemoth, built in the same state where Roe v. Wade was first decided, was the face of “Big Abortion.” The facility aborted upwards of 10,000 babies a year, up to 24 weeks of pregnancy. The lives lost, the souls devastated, and the blood money profited from this one site were enough to drive those of us who stood outside to despair.
But God had other plans.
And through His grace, we didn’t give up. We prayed. We helped many women leave this facility to receive support from the local pregnancy center or mobile unit (special thanks to the Houston Coalition for Life for their pregnancy-help services!). We took our case to the culture. We voted. We held Planned Parenthood accountable for their scandal and the carnage.
And we eventually WON.
The mountain of Planned Parenthood is beginning to crumble: this flagship facility is just one of dozens that have shut down since the fall of Roe and the one-year defunding of the abortion giant by Congress.
It is a powerful lesson for all of us in the pro-life movement: We WILL reap a harvest if we do not give up (Galatians 6:9).
We remember all those who lost their lives or were wounded in this building. And now, we will forever remember the VICTORY of LIFE over death at this location.
Let this moment reinvigorate our souls for the journey ahead. Let us remain steadfast, with eyes on the proverbial “prize” of a truly abortion-free America. The mountain is crumbling, but it is not gone. In Jesus’s name, we know we need only the faith of a mustard seed to tell this mountain to move, and eventually it will! (Matthew 17:20-21)
Jesus … thank for Your strength, thank you for Your sacrifice, thank you for Your LOVE. Let it forever keep us moving forward for Your precious children.
ONWARD!
